Now donut get me wrong (yes, i just went there folks) ’cause I love a good donut. Krispy Kreme traditional glazed especially. But I’ve been seeing these donut walls pop up more and more in my social feeds, and I’m just not sure how I feel about them.

Recently I attended a launch, or rather a re-launch, of a riverside venue. I was looking forward to seeing what would be unveiled as I had been there several years ago for a cocktail-style party and clearly remembered the unique entry way, beautiful Venetian décor, and unbeatable river views.

Worthy to Note | Allow yourselves a few days in order to catch the best weather – our first day was too misty/overcast to go up Mt Titlis, but the day after was all blue skies and white powder.

Must Do | Join a walking tour as I’m sure there is more to see and do than we experienced
Worthy to Note | Negotiate with the gondoliers as their price can vary from 20-80 euro per person; also note that the city tax is additional to the cost of accommodation.

Accommodation | Stay in either Barri Gotic (the gother quarter / city) or La Barceloneta (beach)
Must Do | Sagrada Familia, anything else Gaudi, La Barceloneta beach-side drinks
Worthy to Note | Spend the dollars on a hop on and off pass – Barca is wide-spread and your feet will be thanking you, not to mention you get great views from the top of the bus.

Worthy to Note | Whilst Nice is a great place to base yourself from for day trips, don’t forget what’s on your doorstep – the markets, the promenade, the pebble beach are all worthy.
